Photographed for the Mercedes AMG Magazine, this editorial explores movement within the stillness of Tokyo’s cityscapes. Long exposures transform traffic, lights and crowds into flowing layers of color and time. The familiar rhythm of urban life dissolves into an abstract composition where motion becomes texture and speed turns into silence.

Captured across different cities and continents, this series brings together moments of light, distance and solitude. A rooftop in New York, a deserted parking lot in Chile and a hotel room in Beijing mark the beginning of a visual journey that continues through Barcelona, Chicago, Havana and Las Vegas. Each image becomes a fragment of observation, connected by atmosphere rather than geography, a quiet map of transient places where presence feels temporary and the world unfolds in brief intervals of illumination.

Photographed in the Namtib desert near Aus, this series captures a landscape suspended between stillness and transformation. The cracked surface of the ground meets a vast horizon where clouds and light shift almost imperceptibly. Each image reflects a moment when the elements align just before disappearing again, creating a study of color, distance and quiet intensity.

In this series, the landscapes of Los Angeles, Namibia and Sweden appear only in the narrow reach of the car’s headlights. Each frame turns the road into an illuminated stage surrounded by darkness, where perception becomes as limited as it is intense. The project shifts attention from destination to the fragile moment of visibility, a quiet meditation on travel, isolation and the act of seeing.

This ongoing series traces how light, weather and geography shape perception. From the Californian desert to the highlands of Scotland, from forests in France to volcanic ground in Iceland, the images observe landscapes not as scenery but as shifting surfaces of mood and time. Each frame captures a quiet dialogue between space and atmosphere, connecting distant places through a shared sense of stillness.

Photographed on the volcanic terrain of Lanzarote, this series examines how light transforms the perception of landscape. The images are defined by glare, refraction and the fragility of brightness where form begins to dissolve. What appears solid becomes weightless for a moment, revealing the island as a luminous surface between material and air.

Photographed in Viña del Mar, Chile, this series captures a coastline suspended between activity and absence. The images turn an ordinary beach into a quiet stage where time seems to pause, leaving only traces of color, structure and calm air.

I was driving through South Africa on my way to scout locations for a prototype test drive shoot for a future Mercedes Benz model. The sun lit up the landscape, the road stretched endlessly ahead, and I was fully in the moment during the prototype test drive. Then the world quietly disappeared into thick fog. It felt less like weather and more like a sign. I pulled over and captured a mystical landscape series as the silence settled around me.

Captured on a frozen lake in northern Sweden, this series emerged during a documentary shoot on automotive development. The vast surface becomes an abstract plane of light and texture, stretching into a horizon that seems to dissolve in the cold air. What remains is a study of silence and precision, where nature and engineering briefly share the same space.

Shot on film with a Fuji GX 680 across Los Angeles, Dubai, Florida, Greece and the St. Gotthard pass in Switzerland, this series moves through landscapes that carry the weight of light differently. Empty roads, illuminated nights and wide open skies become scenes from a story that was never written. The grain of the film adds a layer of time to each frame, turning familiar places into something that feels both distant and oddly cinematic.
